About this course
This course develops practitioners' abilities to interpret complex everyday situations involving children and adolescents. Rather than focusing on a single behavioural intervention model, it teaches a robust professional reasoning sequence: Observe, Interpret, Decide, Evaluate and Adapt. Learners will explore how to separate objective observations from assumptions, consider multiple contextual and developmental explanations for children's responses, and make thoughtful, responsive decisions. Throughout the four modules, the course emphasises neurodiversity-affirming practice, meaningful participation and child-centred support. By engaging with realistic case studies and guided decision-making exercises, practitioners will build transferable professional judgment that can be applied across educational, developmental, psychosocial and community-based settings.
