Who these terms are between
ICAP is a training and certification platform. Using it — browsing the catalogue, creating an account, enrolling — means accepting what is set out here.

Your account
An account is personal. Sharing sign-in details, or letting another person sit an assessment in your name, is the one thing that makes every certificate we issue worth less — including yours. Where we find it, the credential is revoked as a record rather than quietly deleted, and the revocation is visible to anyone who checks the number.
CIPPO practitioners signing in from cippo.care hold one linked account. Independent practitioners hold an ICAP-native account with no CIPPO affiliation, and holding a certificate from here does not make you a CIPPO practitioner.
Enrolment and access
Enrolment gives you access to that course's material for as long as the course remains available to you. Where a course runs as a cohort or has scheduled sessions, the dates shown at enrolment are the dates we intend to run; if a session moves, you will be told, and the alternative offered.
Editing a live course does not retroactively change what you already completed or what your certificate attests to — completed work is recorded against the version you took.
What a certificate is, and is not
A certificate from ICAP records that a named person passed a specific assessment on a specific date. It carries a number anyone can check on this site, and where the course states CPD hours, those hours are printed on it.
It is not a licence, a registration, or a warranty that a particular regulator will recognise it. Whether CPD hours count towards a licence is a question for that regulator. We publish what a course involves and we do not speak for a body that has not accredited it.
For CIPPO practitioners, a credential may make you eligible to deliver a particular service on cippo.care. That eligibility lapses when the credential expires or is revoked — it is checked, not assumed.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Republish, resell or redistribute course material. Enrolment buys you access, not a licence to circulate it.
- Submit another person's work, or let another person submit yours.
- Attempt to reach data belonging to another learner, or to interfere with assessment, grading or certificate issue.
- Represent yourself as holding a credential you do not hold.
Payment
Paid courses are charged in the currency shown on the course page. Card details are entered with our payment provider and never reach this platform. Refunds are covered separately in the refund policy.
Changes, suspension and liability
Courses may be withdrawn from sale and material may be corrected or improved. Where a change affects a course you are enrolled in, you will be told.
We may suspend an account for the conduct described above. A certificate already issued is not deleted when an account is closed — it is a record other people may have relied on, so withdrawal happens as a revocation.
